Things to Know

There are several things you as a prospective client should know before hiring a private investigator. There are very strict laws covering many aspects of privacy, and despite what we see on television they cannot be broken without consequence. We won't break the law to help you. That means we must follow the rules covering expectation of privacy, federal wiretapping (and recording of any verbal communication), and banking and credit privacy to mention a few.
We also will not enable someone with a protection order (no contact order, restraining order, etc.) against them to harass or otherwise harm those protected.
Other important things you should know include whether you're hiring a licensed investigator or not. You can go here to check the status of a Washington business or individual license. You'd be surprised by how many people aren't legally licensed and bonded in this profession (see this page for disciplinary actions against 'private investigators').
